The Wissahickon as a Watershed with Lisa Stout, Bill McGeeney, and Matt Kokoszka

May 7, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Meet at the Pachella Field Pavilion

Join us as we take a 2.5 hour hike (~3 miles), visiting spots throughout the Wissahickon Valley Park that point to the history of the Wissahickon Creek and the creation of the park to protect the water, examples of the power of water in shaping and reshaping the park, and efforts to restore and preserve the watershed. Dogs on leash permitted.

Distance: 3 miles
Difficulty: Difficult

Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations.  If you or anyone in your household are exhibiting COVID-19 systems, please stay home. More information is at fow.org/covid-19.

Unless otherwise specified, Guided Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks. Walks are cancelled in heavy rain. Service animals are always welcome. For more information contact Claire Brennan at brennan@fow.org. Visit www.fow.org for updates.
