The Poetry of Summer: A Poetic Ramble Through the Wissahickon with Stan Kozakowski and Michael Bridges

Meet at Blue Bell Field Parking Area

We will wander through the Wissahickon and stop at selected places to admire its beauty and share poems that connect us to this extraordinary park. Participants are invited, (but not required to bring 1 or 2 favorite poems to read aloud. Our walk will be approximately 2.5 miles, traverse moderate hills, and will finish by 12:00 pm. Wear good hiking boots and bring water. Children 12 and over are welcome when accompanied by an adult. No dogs please. Service animals are always permitted.

Distance: 2.5 Miles

Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)

Audience: Adults Only and children 12 and over

Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. We ask all event attendees to bring a mask and mask up if a distance of six feet cannot be maintained during the activity.
