Hybrid Valley Talk: A Bird’s Eye View of Watching Wildlife in Pennsylvania with the Pennsylvania Game Commission

October 25, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Do you ever wake up a chorus of songbirds and wonder who is singing outside your window? Are you interested in watching wildlife in their natural habitat, but aren’t sure where to go? Pennsylvania is home to 480 species of wild birds and mammals. Join FOW and Jordan Sanford from the Pennsylvania Game Commission where they’ll introduce you to places where you can go to see wildlife, what equipment you’ll need, and how to be safe while doing it! From the Elk Range in northcentral Pennsylvania to the wetlands of Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in the southeast, there’s something or somewhere for everyone!

Jordan Sanford is a Wildlife Outreach Coordinator with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, our state wildlife agency. She focuses on engaging and communicating with non-traditional audiences in the state about who the Pennsylvania Game Commission is and why the work they do is important for wildlife and for people. Prior to this role, Jordan was an education intern based out of PGC’s Southeast region for two years. Outside of work, Jordan enjoys going to concerts with friends, reading, being outside, and hanging out with her cat Olive.
